Submission Documents: By Councillor Judith Fisher:- "Glasgow City Council acknowledges the particular challenges faced by young people leaving care and embraces our responsibilities as corporate parents in ensuring as stable and supportive a transition as possible into adult life. Glasgow City Council supports Scottish Government proposals to raise the age at which care-leavers should be able to request assistance from their local authority up to and including the age of 25, from the current age of 21, but calls on the Scottish Government to commit to meeting the increased costs which will be incurred as a result of this change in legislation."
